Now if only they would make a "glutase" pill so I could eat gluten!
But they don't. So I have to be insanely careful about what I eat. I can't eat anything that contains wheat, rye or barley. And once you start reading labels, gluten is everywhere!
When I first found out I was gluten sensitive and discovered what I all had to give up, I was actually OK with it. I was just so excited that I could feel better! I would have given up anything to feel better! It wasn't until later, when I found out that a lot of brands of soy sauce contain gluten and eating in most Chinese restaurants was off limits that I became really sad... and angry. You see, I love Chinese food! Love it! After a couple days of feeling sorry for myself and suffering from a massive craving for fried rice, I decided to take matters into my own hands and make it myself. It wasn't that good but I loved cooking it and I couldn't wait to try it again. That was the beginning. I was hooked on cooking!
I decided to start this blog as a way to keep track of my favorite recipes. Some of the recipes are all mine. Some I've found in cookbooks and on the internet, that I adapted to my licking.
And I figure, while I'm blogging, I can share some of the other things I like to do, too!
